Your account can be used from any touch-tone telephone in Ireland, including payphones and mobiles. There are 2 different numbers that can be used to access our network: 1800 992 760 (freephone access*) 01 431 9740 (Dublin access**) *There is a 21c/min surcharge if you use this access number from a payphone and a 34c/min surcharge if you use this number from a mobile. This surcharge will be deducted from your Alpha account balance. ** There is a 1c/min discount on all rates when you use this access number. You will be charged at your normal rate by your landline or mobile service provider for dialling this number. Calling Instructions Dial the relevant access number (see above). At the prompt enter your account number and PIN (if necessary). Register your numbers for Fast Access to avoid this step. When you hear the ‘connecting’ prompt, dial the number you wish to call, including the full area code if calling a number within Ireland or the full international code if calling abroad. Calls are charged in 1 minute increments after the first 12 seconds. The first 12 seconds are charged at 1/5th of a minute. The credit on your account expires if not used or topped-up for 180 days. Useful account features Fast access By registering your telephone number/s for Fast Access there is no need to enter your account number and PIN when you make a call. Log in to your account or call Customer Care to register your numbers for Fast Access. Credit warning When your account balance has 1 minute of talk time remaining, you will hear a single bleep. You will hear a bleep again with 30 seconds and 10 seconds remaining. When your credit has run out you will be transferred to the Quick Pay service. Follow on call Do not hang up, press # twice and dial the new number. Redial last number Do not hang up. Press # twice and then dial *6. Check your balance Once connected to Alpha dial *9.
