Global Calling
You can use your Alpha account from over 40 other countries using our Global Calling Service. It’s the best way to avoid excessive hotel phone charges or the need to have foreign change to hand for payphones when travelling.

To call from abroad

Simply dial the access number for the country you are in. Click here for access numbers and link rates per country.
At the prompt enter your account number and PIN.
If you are making a call to the UK, you don’t need to dial the international access code for the UK. If calling a country outside the UK, use the international dialling code 00 as if calling from the UK (do not use the international dialling code for the country you are in).

To calculate the rate when using Global Calling, add the ‘link rate’ for the country you are calling from (per minute) to your normal rate for calling the country of your choice. If your credit runs out while calling from abroad you will automatically be connected to Customer Care.

Fast access
By registering your telephone numbers for Fast Access there is no need to enter your account number and PIN when you make a call.

Credit warning
When your account balance has 1 minute of talk time remaining, you will hear a single bleep. You will hear a bleep again with 30 seconds and 10 seconds remaining. When your credit has run out you will be transferred to the Quick Pay service.

Follow on call
Do not hang up, press # twice and dial the new number.

Redial last number
Do not hang up. Press # twice and then dial *6.

Check your balance
Once connected to Alpha dial *9.
